Melbourne is set to host the world premiere of Georgy Girl, a show based on the music of the pop group the Seekers, in November at Her Majesty's Theatre.


Its backers include one of the world's most successful producers, Richard East, who was a member of the original team behind the Abba show, Mamma Mia.


It went on to become one of the world's biggest hits and is about to celebrate its 16th anniversary in London. It will close its 14-year New York run on September 12.

catsPreparations are over, now it's time for Cats the Musical to begin its latest Australian tour, featuring Delta Goodrem as Grizabella at performances in Sydney, Hobart and Melbourne.


It's one of the longest-running shows in West End and Broadway history, premiering at the New London Theatre in 1981 where it played for 21 record-breaking years and almost 9,000 performances. The ground-breaking production was the winner of the Olivier and Evening Standard Awards for Best Musical. In 1983 the Broadway production received seven Tony awards including Best Musical.

The 2008 and 2009 festivals were of three days duration before moving to a four day festival in 2010 it is still continuing as a four day event.


The eleventh Horsham Country Music Festival will be held a week later due to Easter and will be on 31st March to 3rd April 2016 with another excellent artist line up.
